An unknown number of these recycled machines are in the Humbolt area. http://humlug.org/ Would it be worth it to try to arrange transportation?

Subject: [linux] repurposing HP t7510 thin clients

Hi all,

We're getting ready to dispose of a lot of HP t5710 thin clients at work.
The reason is that we have a new mandatory web app that requires IE8 or
later, and nobody has been able to shoehorn it onto these devices with
256MB of flash and 256MB of RAM.

If we dispose of them and another agency in our group requests them, that's
where they'll go. Otherwise (and I'll have to check with our property
specialist about this) we can sometimes donate obsolete computer equipment
to charities after the disks have been zeroed out.

If anyone has any suggestions about what to do with them, I would sure
appreciate it.

Thanks,
Eric
