Hi all

Apologies for the long silence - got caught up in things happening my end.

So I finally managed to fix the kinks in my procedures and scripts to make
something, hopefully, fool-proof, such that anybody could build their own
custom installable Lubuntu ISO, pre-loaded with all the software of their
choice, custom desktop, Firefox bookmarks, etc.

    https://github.com/taikedz/our-pxe/blob/master/customization-steps.md

I wrote the above instructions such that anybody should be able to follow
them. Yes, Christian, even your modest self! The instructions

The bulk of the work was refining *partimus-setup.sh*, *dtopspin.sh* and
*respin.sh* to fix issues: https://github.com/taikedz/our-pxe/tree/master/
; the hardest part was to make the procedure as command-line-less as
possible; I still have to include 2 commands there that might be a bit
off-putting. If anyone can go ahead and make the final fix to bring this
completely away from CLI, that would be great.

I am now testing my final image which should be good to go. Can someone
please give the above instructions a go and tell me if they end up with a
totally customized, installable and usable ISO?

I will upload my final image (partimus-hu-01.iso) in a bit, after testing,
but I'm 99% confident it works as I intended it to :-)

At this point the image can be used for schools, it's prepped and ready. A
burned copy or 3 can be given to Abigail. It shuold work fine as a LiveCD
as well.

What is left is to be able to build a PXE server that can serve the image
over the network, then to make an unattended installation.

I'll email a URL to the downloadable ISO in a bit.

Tai
