<span style="line-height: 14px;"><font size="2">A while ago I met with the nice folks at ECS, they had helped Gidget Kitchen set up plans for an equipment/hardware drive. We liked the idea of $500-3000+ being raised. The plan is to promote a city wide donation of hardware. They provide the trucks to take the unusable junk and haul it to their location. They pay for all of this. They had no problem with us grabbing hardware that meets our minimum specs. GK started work on a triage system to best identify what is worth keeping and what should go. This was modified from the original Free Geek flowchart. We have some businesses, Chambers of Commerce, etc. interested. Our main issue was finding homes for the computers. They are a family owned business, that leads the way on ethical practices. They are a very open company- we can go on a tour sometime- let me know if you are interested.</span></h6>

Unfortunately my Strata has still not been fixed (and no ETA of when that might be.) So that leaves me with the only option is using a friend's Mac computer to do it. </font></div>

<br>I also have some more stuff ready for donation to Patimus- a big business printer- and more ink, a 15" lcd monitor, and most likely a P4 machine. I hope to be able to trace these as they go thru the process. It will be a story that lets folks know how what they donate makes a real difference.<br>
I am also VERY proud to announce that I am now a North American Mentor for the Fedora Project's Ambassador program. This has some high visibility and I hope to leverage some eyeballs to some worthy causes ;)<br>-Mark<br>
