I just want to say "thank you" to Christian and Mike for coming out to EBLUG
last night and providing a great learning and volunteer opportunity for our
members as well as few ambitious Ohlone students. Everyone seemed to have a good
time and it was exciting to see everyone get involved in the project while
collaborating on various degrees of solutions to some of the issues the project
is currently facing.

I also want to express my gratitude to Ohlone students Masood and Brian for
taking the time from their busy schedules to get involved and make it to the
session. Being a volunteer is not as easy as it sounds and sometimes the hardest
part is just taking those first steps of showing up and asking "what can I do to
help?". Getting involved with FOSS and the projects that involve it though has
rewards that sometimes are not immediately obvious. Given time, the effort
exerted will be repaid exponentially while the connections and friendships
established will be immeasuarble.

To my oldest friend David, I say thank you for coming out and being a part of
this session. Over the last 15 years we've been through a lot together and
perhaps this will be another step in that long history of adventures we've
had. My hope is that we share in this new endeavor as we have shared in
others over the last decade and a half.

To my friends in EBLUG, you guys freakin' ROCK! I couldn't have accomplished
most of this without your help and cooperation. Joining EBLUG has probably been
the best thing I have ever done. Being part of a LUG allows us to collaborate as
people who have a shared interest without corporate interventions or
limitations. Our combined knowledge and resources allow us to make real,
positive, changes that affect communities and organizations through meritocracy
and collaborative involvement. It's a real honor to be welcomed into a LUG like
ours and I look forward to more years of great projects and opportunities that
come our way.

Finally, to Hurricane Electric, my deepest thanks and appreciation for all your
support. Without having a place to hold our meetings, and your generous resource
provisioning, EBLUG wouldn't be able to provide the kind of support to others as
we did last night. I can't express enough how important your support is to our
group and the debt of gratitude that is owed.
